These instructions are for adding a user to a property that already exists in an active Google Search Console account.
If you’re NOT logged in to your Google account yet, choose the blue Start Now button on the left side of the screen.
Once you’re logged in to your Google account, you’ll see your Google Search Console Overview screen.
This is an example of what the Main Menu looks like. You should see something similar down the left side of the screen. If you do see it, skip to Step 5 below. If you don’t see it, go to Step 4a instead.
If your Main Menu is NOT showing, you’ll see a graphic like this on the top left:
If you see that, choose the 3-line “hamburger” menu to the left of the Google Search Console heading, and the Main Menu will then be displayed, bumping the Overview heading over to the right like this:
Once you can see your Main Menu, there will be a website property showing at the top (which should be your website if you only have one included in Google Search Console – but if you have more than one property in the list, choose your website now). As an example, the list of properties is in the dropdown menu here, where you see the flower icon and the start of my website address.
Choose the Settings icon in the Main Menu (toward the bottom).
